Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by our experienced safari guide. After a short briefing, embark on a scenic drive to Kibale National Park, also known as the "Primate Capital of the World." The journey takes about 5-6 hours, passing through tea plantations, lush forests, and rural villages. You will arrive in the afternoon and check in at your lodge. If time allows, you can take a guided nature walk in the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a great place for bird watching and primate viewing. After an early breakfast, head to the Kibale National Park headquarters for a briefing on chimpanzee tracking rules and guidelines. You will then venture into the dense forest in search of chimpanzees. As you trek, keep an eye out for other primates such as red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and L’Hoest’s monkeys. Once you find the chimpanzees, spend an hour observing them as they play, feed, and swing from tree to tree. After the tracking experience, enjoy lunch and then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a 3-hour drive through the scenic countryside. Wake up early for a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and numerous antelope species. If you're lucky, you might spot the famous tree-climbing lions of the Ishasha sector. After the game drive, enjoy lunch and then embark on a scenic 4-5 hour drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey takes you through rolling hills and local villages. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and prepare for the thrilling gorilla trekking experience the next day. This is the highlight of your safari! After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules. You will be assigned a group and a guide before setting off into the thick forest in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements. Once you find the gorillas, you will have an unforgettable one-hour encounter with them. Watch as they feed, groom, and interact with each other in their natural habitat. This experience is truly magical and one of the most remarkable wildlife encounters in the world. After the trek, return to your lodge for relaxation and reflection on the day’s adventure. After breakfast, check out from your lodge and embark on a scenic drive back to Entebbe. Along the way, you will have a stop at the Equator for photography and a chance to purchase souvenirs.
